CLOSURE OF THE 35th FEST – Before the projection of the film “The Caiman”, the leading female actress of the film and guest of this year's FEST, Jasmine Trinca, has closed the 35 th FEST inviting the audience, in Serbian language, to see each other again next year, on FEST '08. The audience was also greeted by the leading officials of the FEST Directorate, stressing record attendance ratings (120000 people) and 97000 tickets sold. After the film “The Caiman”, the audience could have seen the winner of the competition part of the program Europe out of Europe – “To get to Heaven first you need to die”, and the director's associate Sitora Alijeva greeted the public and was handed over the award for the film.

The film “URO” of Norwegian director Stefan Faldbakken - The Norwegian police are known for its extremely serious work in combating illegal narcotics trade, aiming at creating a better society without drugs. "YELLA" - This year's top contender of the Berlin Festival, the German film Yella of Christian Petzold, which earned the Silver Bear for the lead female role for its main character Nina Hoss, is coming to FEST as the “surprise film” in the program “German Journey” of the entity specially dedicated to German film.

"DREAMGIRLS" - Instead of “Film Noir”, spectators in the Main Hall of the Sava Center will have the opportunity to see the recent Academy Award winner for the best film out of the English speaking area “The Life of Others (Das Leben der Anderen) of Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, while another Academy Award winner – Bill Condon's musical “Dreamgirls” will be shown at 12h as a pre-premiere. The film's regular cinema distribution is scheduled for the second half of March.

"EUROPE OUT OF EUROPE" - competition:
Jury of the “Europe out of Europe” Competition, Dubravka Lakić, film critic of the daily Politika, Pawel Pawlikowski, film director from United Kingdom, and Meinolf Zurhorst, ZDF and Arte Commissioning director, decided to award the Film “To get to Heaven first you need to die” by Djamshed Usmonov, for its original characters and seductive... FEST OPENED BY BOB RAPHAELSON AND “THE TRAP”

The 35 th Belgrade International Film Festival – FEST, which will show around 80 films by March 4, including awarded ones from major world festivals, Academy Awards winners and films from the competition program, was opened by US director Bob Raphaelson on the occasion of the premiere of the domestic film “The Trap”. GUESTS OF 35th FEST: The guest of honor of the 35th FEST shall be renown director Bob Rafelson, to which is dedicated the program „Three Easy Pieces“ in the Museum of the Yugoslav Cinematheque. Mr. Rafelson is coming to Belgrade on February 23 and shall attend the opening ceremony of FEST on February 23 at 19.30h. The same day at noon a press conference shall be held with Mr. Rafelson at noon in the Sava Center . Our guest shall stay in Belgrade until March 1... [read more]

WE ARE READY FOR 35th FEST! - The 35th edition of FEST shall begin with the premiere of Srdjan Golubovic's film KLOPKA („The Trap“) on February 23. The festival shall last until March 4. with the projections being held in Sava Center , Dvorana Kulturnog Centra, Dom Sindikata and the Museum of the Yugoslav Cinematheque.

- Ticket sales began on Thursday, February 1st on the box offices of the cinemas in which the Festival shall be held, as well as in Bilet Servis. Ticket prices are the following:

Sava centar:
150 dinars for replays at 12 and 14.30
200 dinars for premieres at 17
250 dinars for gala premieres at 19.30 and 22

Dvorana Kulturnog centra:
150 dinars for replays at 13 and 15.30
200 dinars for premieres at 18, 20.30 and 23

Dom sindikata:
150 dinars for replays at 12.30 and 15 sati
200 dinars for premieres at 17.30
250 dinars for gala premieres at 20 and 22.30 sati

Yugoslav Cinematheque:
150 dinars for all hours and projections
