Dubravka Lakić, film critic of the Politika daily, graduated journalism on the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade; started her journalist career in Radio Belgrade, Program 202 and has been working in Politika since 1989. Author and editor of specialized TV programs about film IN MEDIA RES (1995 - 1997) and KINO KLUB (2000-2004); member of the Fipresci jury in Venice, Cannes, Berlin, Thessalonica, San Sebastian... co-author of the FEST Monograph (1995); co-author of the collection „Film and Video“, author of the book „Amplification – Masters of Modern Direction“ (1998); author of the concept and Selector of the Festival of European Film in Palic; initiator and founder of the TOLERANCE AWARD for best films of Eastern Europe; member of the FEST Council, recipient of numerous journalist awards among which the Golden Thimble, Born in Belgrade in which she is living and working.
Pawel Pawlikowski (1957) has studied literature and philosophy and has a Master in German literature from Oxford. As a documentarist, he started his career on British television with a successful film in 2000, “Last Resort”. This film has been awarded on prestigious festivals such as Toronto and Sundance and in the UK it was awarded the Baft for best newcomer director. His next film “My Summer of Love” was awarded the “Alexander Corda” award for best British film in 2005. Since 2004, Pawlikovski is studying on Oxford genres in contemporary British film with his film students. When asked to reveal his Top Ten of All Times List, Pawlikovski never fails to mention Emir Kusturica’s “Do you Remember Dolly Bell?” among greats such as “A Flight over the Cuckoo’s Nest”, “Sweet Life”, “Taxi Driver” and “Some like it Hot.” Pawlikovski is currently putting the finishing touches on the post-production of the film “The Restraint of the Beast“.
Meinolf Zurhorst (1953) is the Editor in Chief of the Film Program of the German Television second channel (ZDF) and the ARTE television; he is author of numerous books and a film producer. He studied theatre, film and television, as well as the history of art, ethnology and philosophy.
Since 1977, he has been publishing articles about film for several newspapers, magazines and TV stations. He has written several books about “Art Film”, the history of film and police films. In addition to specialized books, he has published a series of biographies of famous actors, such as Robert de Niro, Jack Nicholson, Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, Richard Gere, Gerard Depardieu, Lino Ventura, Robin Williams, Demi Moore and Mickey Rourke. He has produced several television projects, as well as video-films and short featured films, including short horror movie “The Isle” in 2004.
